With the way it was looking, there was no real way out of this. You’ve read stories like this before, the slime isn’t going to stop. You take a deep breath and just calm down, accepting what was going to happen.
After a few moments, the slime seems to stop flowing from the floor, the various little piles starting to change colors. The monochrome hallway starts to become a kaleidoscope of colors, the little piles coming together into more rounded shapes. Even the bits on your hand and foot start to do the same. One by one, the piles seem to start sporting little eyes, all of them fixing their new gazes on you.
The little one on your hand follows suit, a little pink one that almost seems to be blushing as it looks at you. It makes a small squeaking sound, looking right at your eyes.

It was a night like any other, you were peacefully sleeping and had a well-deserved vacation ahead of you, free from any responsibility. Suddenly, you hear clamoring coming from downstairs, you bolt up instantly. Nervously, you get out of bed, and quiet head down the stairs. In the shadow, you see a figure of some sort. You grab a bat that you had lying around and slowly walk closer to it. As you enter the room you raise the bat up ready to attack to the intruder in your home. "Put the bat down, I can't be hurt." the figure said, turning around to reveal a man dressed in a suit and tie. You lower your weapon, and look at the man in confusion.
